Important Information Before You Claim

Am I entitled to compensation?

You may not be entitled to compensation under EC Regulation 261/2004 if any of the following apply:

❌ Incorrect Passenger or Flight Details

We are unable to process your claim if you’ve entered incorrect flight or passenger information.
Please carefully check your booking confirmation for:

  • Passenger name(s)
  • Original flight number
  • Original scheduled flight date

Note: If you’re claiming on behalf of someone outside your family group, we’ll need their signed written permission.
You cannot claim for passengers under a different booking reference.

Your Flight Arrived Less Than 3 Hours Late

Compensation is only available if the arrival delay is over 3 hours—not the departure delay.

The Disruption Was Caused by ‘Extraordinary Circumstances’

Under EU law, airlines are not required to pay compensation if the delay or cancellation was caused by factors outside their control, even if they took all reasonable measures to prevent it. These are known as “extraordinary circumstances.”

Examples of extraordinary circumstances may include:

  • Air Traffic Control restrictions
  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Disruptive passengers
  • Passenger medical emergencies
  • Bird strikes or lightning strikes
  • Foreign object damage
  • Airport or runway closures/problems

Why Choose Us

Quick, Easy & Risk Free

Filing by Yourself

Complicated and Hard

Understanding which regulations apply to your circumstances, and which to claim under, can be stressful and time consuming.

Risky

You may have to cover legal costs upfront, which you won't recover if you're unsuccessful.

Paperwork

Manually locate, collect, compile and submit evidence to prove your claim, completing all required paperwork by yourself.

Acts of god & force majeure

Airlines rely on "act of god" and "force majeure" clauses to avoid paying out. Weather, air traffic control, and staff sickness are all commonly blamed. Without access to the right data, it's often impossible to counter these excuses.

Legislation

Regulations carry varying compensation payouts; using the wrong one could cost you hundreds. JetJustice is the only available solution that considers all applicable legislation.
